Welcome to the
American Kerry Bog Pony Society website.
AKBPS is a not-for-profit organization, with IRC 501(c)(5) status pending. Formed in November 2004, AKBPS is dedicated to the preservation and growth of the breed through responsible breeding of pure bloodlines
and safeguards the Registry of ponies imported and foaled in North America. AKBPS President Linda Ashar is North American Liaison with The Kerry Bog Pony Co-operative Society Ltd. (formerly the Kerry Bog Pony Society of Ireland).
Another important part of AKBPS' mission is to provide information and educate people about this precious gift of nature, for surely the Kerry Bog Pony deserves its place in history and in our hearts.
Although AKBPS is a new organization, we are pleased to already have several members subscribed both in the U.S. and Ireland.
